Goa and Konkan

 

Countless bays and beaches dot the western coast of the Indian subcontinent. A 50 to 100 km wide coastal belt, rich in water and fertile soil streches from Gujarat, Maharahstra, Goa towards Karnataka. Their inhabitants call it Konkan, their language is Konkani
